Fears, Fears go away (poem)

Everyone has some fears,
some try to induce theirs into others,
and some others do get induced by those fears,
however, the only way out of all fears is to be in NOW.

Its no point... (poem)

Its no point justifying, why I did that.
Its no point blaming others, for how I feel.
Its no point asking him, to speak in a kinder way.
Its no point thinking any way, but unconditional love.

Just Observe and Create What Works (poem)

Yesterday, I was at the workshop where students were creating their own parachutes; which uses air resistance to slowly float downward, as proposed by Leonardo da Vinci. In that moment, the following poem surfaced.

***

Leonardo da Vinci, did not complain about air resistance,
instead he lay out the design for the first parachute.

Then, why do I complain about the resistances in my life,
instead of simply using them to create a new solution.

There is always a way out (poem)

Yesterday, I had to go to San Jose from mountain view. I proceeded towards the conventional faster freeway. But, since 6 pm was the peak commute hour, 85-S, the freeway entrance was frozen. I immediately took the nearest U-turn, towards the slower yet moving route to reach my destination. I used the Central expressway. It led to the following poem:

***

Whenever I feel stuck in a situation,
Instead of complaining about it,
I have got to figure out,
a solution that works.

A blissful sleep (poem)

A mother was dozing sitting on the chair,
embracing her 3 year old sleeping son,
with his face resting on her chest,
and his hands on her shoulders.

Looking too far misses out what's immediate (poem)

I was driving into the shopping complex,
while looking, far away at the parking area.

I felt a sharp jerk inside the moving car,
while hitting, suddenly against the speed bump.

I am beginning to remind myself...(poem)

When I irritatedly say, "Why are you like this?"
I am beginning to remind myself, "Here comes my next should."

When I frustratingly scream, "You are being disrespectful."
I am beginning to remind myself, "Here comes my opportunity to grow."

When I disgustingly think, "I wish you would change, one day."
I am beginning to remind myself, "There is so much I really like about you."

When I continuously cry, "I am feeling unloved."
I am beginning to remind myself, "There is my chance to step forward and hug."

Its time to pick (poem)

My 6 year old was reading a story and everywhere he was reading accept as expect. In that moment it struck me, that he is just reading it incorrectly, but I actually keep expecting instead of accepting, even at age 41. This led to the following poem.

***

Drop expectations,
Embrace acceptance.

Abandon blaming,
Begin appreciating.

Being a fearless 6 year old, once again (poem)

When I was encouraging my 6 year old to climb across the fence,
I told him, "Do it now, for you will not be able to do it later in life."
Just, then it struck me, "Why did fear take over me as I grew older?"
Then, on our way back, with lots of nervousness and courage, I crossed it.

Creating my thoughts (poem)

My thoughts are many, and they scan my mind randomly.

And each on my thought, pulls out with it a sedimented story.

These stories get pulled out, for they are linked to "that" thought.

When I observe this, I can choose to let stories surface or think God.

Ease, focusses my energy (poem)

Just as laser light can penetrate through water bottle,
but gets scattered with the molecules in milk bottle.

Similarly, my thoughts stay focussed when I am at ease,
but they get scattered, each time I am in pain and shoulds.

Safety First (poem)

The cooking stove in my kitchen, has its knobs in the front.
If it is not constantly locked, it can turn fire on, even with an accidental slight touch.

The emotional part of me, has very many sensitive triggers.
If it is not constantly checked, it can feel wounded, in any self-talk or in any external conversation.

Kids reveal secrets (poem)

Just like my kids provoke each other across the dinning table,
I think, sometimes, I am involuntarily doing the same to others.

Just like my 6 year old son, finds joy in creating random noises,
I think, most of the times, I can create my own joyful moments too.

Constructive interference leads to joy (poem)

Just as two waves interfere destructively, if out of phase,
and interfere constructively, when they are in phase.

Similarly, I interact sadly, if I am not giving love,
and I interact joyfully, when I am radiating love.

I realized,
I think a lot about,
what is bothersome to me,
and then I see it happening for real.

Now, I wonder,
why don't I think about,
what I wish to happen in my life,
and thereby experience it in real life?
