Same lesson, different teachers (poem)

Its all about learning to be present,
(completely) in this moment, called now.

And each interaction is pointing out,
(loud and clear), "hey, there you go again".

....And suddenly, I was fine with others using my blanket (poem)

I saw my blanket pulled out from the pile

crumbled up and thrown on top of my chair,

I inferred that someone had used it in my absence

without my permission and then left it away carelessly.

I felt agitated, for it meant that someone had crossed my limits,

it meant they were disrespectful towards me and they could do whatever.

But, as soon as I began meditating I could sense "I, me and mine" attacking,

and I could see that was nothing but my mental separation; I let it go and eased.

thought in my mind,

and purpose of my soul.

Let attachments go.
Let  resistances subside.
Let seeking from people stop.
Let thoughts be focused only on God.

... God be
the screen saver,
my choice of browser,
and flashing pop up reminders.

Its fun, observing (poem)

My mind fears my husband's judgement, when I run the tap to let water heat up.
I noticed my fears, pushed them and with courage turned it on with full flow.

My mind creates a story, when my daughter didn't throw trash hanging on door.
I noticed my story,  deleted it and with a smile threw it in the garbage outside.

My mind desires nobody rushes, when my son is shoving breakfast and chokes.
I noticed my blaming,  shoved it and stepped forward to pat his back to ease.

My mind hears my son's questioning later, when I'd do what I did in his presence.
I noticed my  lack of presence,  pulled my thoughts back and returned to now.

This is Your creation.
I am Your creation.
We are all one.
I am these.

The school bell has rung.
I am packing up my backpack.
I know, it will take some time to reach home.

Life is not about constant complaining.
Life is not about incessant laughter.
Life is only about feeling peaceful.
Life is to balance safety/purpose.

Food is not about satisfying five desires.
Food is not about counting the calories.
Food is only about feeling nourished.
Food is to balance healing/craving.

knowing, if its not happening
whatever, I am desiring (in this moment)
then, my Lord doesn't want it to happen (now)
and, He is the only one, who (really) knows whats good for me.
