Protection matters (poem)

I was having lunch outside,
on the bench surrounded by grass
experiencing the warm sun and fresh breeze;
even though I had the key to the pool, offering the same.

Suddenly, the sprinklers turned on,
and I was all wet before I could rescue
myself and my belongings from getting drenched;
and I saw the key to the pool which offers all plus protection.

Everything returns, even gratitude (poem)

With an Indian sweet in ziplocks,
I was offering it to whoever I met on my walk;
the nannies in the park, the mailman, FedEx man,
till I walked inside the fire station to express gratitude.

They were doing a demonstration,
and one of them inquired, "How can I help you?"
I offered thanks for their services (as a neighbor) while offering;
later at a store another fireman (who recognized me), appreciated the gesture.

O God, I surrender my judgement...(poem)

...which traps me in good as well as bad
and that creates my attachments plus the resistances
in addition to inflicting pain in my body (the vehicle for soul);
like the pain I'd experience, sitting inside a car hitting all on its way.

Who knows what is good or bad? (poem)

Six years ago when my back got injured,
and I was in intense emotional and physical pain;
I felt my world had come to an end and that was the worst,
but, it was then I called and found God within me, so was the injury bad?

When a heart recognizes love (poem)

Every time I drove by this crossing helper,
I wanted to thank her for the smiles and service.
On February 11, at about 8 :15 am, I felt inspired
to offer her/her peers some "home made Indian sweets".

But, I had a doubt if she would be open to receiving "it".
Anyways, I drove and waved at her when I saw her leaving.
I walked closer, expressed my gratitude and offered "it" to her.
Hey, she surprised me with big eyes and an instant squeezing hug.

O mind, do you mind stepping aside

When I am in my mind,
the body pains or I feel cold.

Then I feel the pressure,
of the learning and my fears.

Joy comes from peace, which comes from ease (poem)

When body has all the comforts,
like a rich person with all his buys,
he cannot be at ease until and unless,
his mind is resting completely as he rests.

When mind has its inner bliss,
like a saint with his inner peace,
he cannot be at ease until and unless,
his body gets the food, clothing and shelter.

This is mental war (poem)

When I judge "it" as good,
I really like it to happen that way,
and all that happens any another way,
I dislike, resist and thereby cause intense pain.

Who am I to judge? (poem)

When do I judge?
when I'm in mind

Who do I judge?
mostly myself

Does it feel nice?
no, its painful

Would I check it?
