I reached my sons school,
and a friend's daughter ran to me.
She had a smile in her eyes,
and her spine was way uplifted with pride.
When I lowered down on knees,
I saw a toothless smile in between her ponytails.
Her beaming joy was in her losing-
a second teeth, right in front and in the lower center.
Her joy was infectious and I caught it,
next day, when I offered her a gift; our eyes sparkled with....
