Crying and Singing Speak Volumes (poem)

When I break down howling,
then I know my spirit is crying,
and I need to pay attention to,
what is that pain trying to point.

When I begin to start sobbing,
then I know my mind is crying,
and I need to pay attention to,
how to get detached from root.

When I sing openly from belly,
then I know my spirit is opened,
and I need to pay attention to,
what led to that expansiveness.

When I sing only from throat,
then I know spirit is unhappy,
and I need to pay attention to,
why it's not genuinely happy.
