Granpa used to say, "First, love yourself " (poem)

My Granpa used to say,
"Gunjan, first love yourself totally.",

I did not understand it,
for a long time, for my priority was loving others,

But, now I understand it,
when I am able to love my thoughts, words, actions, body completely,

Then, I accept myself fully,
and naturally I am able to accept another, and love him for whatever he is being.
